ILS has historically worked closely with courts and law firms. Unlike community interpreting, legal or court interpreting requires interpreters to avoid any intervention where the interpreter steps out of their role. Legal / Court interpreters must be thoroughly familiar with the rules, regulations, protocols of the respective court or deposition where they will be interpreting in addition to having approval by the court to interpret.
